The moonstone [electronic resource]: a romance
Wilkie Collins's detective novel The Moonstone, issued in London by Chatto & Windus in 1886 for the general circulating-library readership. The scans hold printer's material rather than plates: a heavy black foliate mask device with sprouting leaf-tipped stems, a blackletter memorial panel, and dense agate-set advertising columns for patent medicines, useful as ornaments, rules and period type texture.
