General History, Cyclopedia And Dictionary Of Freemasonry
A reference encyclopedia of Masonic history, terms and ritual compiled by Robert Macoy, a New York Masonic publisher, and issued in 1872 for lodge members and officers. The wood engravings are compact emblem plates: labelled officer jewels, aprons and regalia, geometric diagrams of stars and pentagons filled with symbols, and architectural scenes crowded with mottoes and Hebrew letters.
