1905 catalogue : the gold and silversmiths
A 1905 wholesale and retail trade catalogue from Henry Birks and Sons, gold and silversmiths of Montreal, printed by Desbarats for jewellery buyers and shop customers across Canada. Halftone plates show flatware, thimbles, scissors, button hooks, manicure sets in lined cases and engraved serving pieces, each numbered and arranged in overlapping rows against grey grounds, giving designers repeating silhouettes of handles, chased ornament and period product-catalogue layout.
