Sacrum sanctuarium crucis et patientiae crucifixorum et cruciferorum, emblematicis imaginibus laborantium et aegrotantium ornatum: artifices gloriosi nouae artis bene viuendi et moriendi secundum rationem regulae et circini
A Latin emblem book on the cross and patience by the Jesuit Pedro de Bivero, printed by the Plantin office in Antwerp in 1634 for devotional readers and preachers, with plates after Adriaen Collaert engraved by Karel van Mallery. The engravings set martyrdoms and crucifixions in open landscapes, with fire, spears and soldiers, each framed by a two-line Latin motto.
