Asklepios und die Asklepiaden
An 1846 archaeological monograph by Theodor Panofka on Asklepios and the healing gods, printed by the Royal Academy of Sciences press in Berlin for classicists and antiquarians. Outline engravings copy statues, gems, coins and reliefs: bearded figures in heavy drapery, serpent-twined staffs, hooded cloaks, oval gem frames and a snake-wound lampstand, all clean contour line usable as silhouettes or spot motifs.
