A dictionary of arts and sciences (Volume 2)
An English-language encyclopaedia of arts and sciences compiled by George Gregory and issued in Philadelphia by Isaac Peirce in 1815 for general readers and students. The plates are copperplate sheets crowded with numbered geometric diagrams, ray-tracing figures, hexagons and polyhedra, small perspective views of presses, cranes, jacks and furnaces, plus charts and a hemisphere map — usable as line-diagram stock and mechanical spot art.
