An issue of the American trade weekly Aviation and Aeronautical Engineering, published in New York on 15 September 1917 for aircraft builders, engine makers, engineers and wartime military buyers. The plates are mostly full-page advertisements: halftone photographs of factory sheds and assembly bays, engines posed in etched ornamental frames, a white-on-black luminous barometer dial, and hand-lettered display headings useful for period lettering, industrial photo layouts and technical ad framing.
