Illustrations of the textile manufactures of India
A survey volume issued by the South Kensington (Victoria and Albert) Museum's textile department in London in 1881, reproducing Indian woven cloth for British manufacturers, designers and students. The plates show single cloth panels against plain grounds: striped and lattice-patterned fields, banded end borders with small repeating motifs, cut fringes, and muted indigo, madder red, olive and green.
