Encaustic metal enameled ceilings and sidewalls.
A 1906 trade catalogue from the Wheeling Corrugating Company of Wheeling, West Virginia, showing stamped sheet-metal ceiling and sidewall panels to builders, contractors and decorators. Photographs of pressed tin in flat green-grey render cornices, friezes, coffered fields, rosette medallions and corner blocks as raised relief, giving designers repeatable ornament grids, border strips and scrollwork motifs with soft cast shadows.
