F.L. & D.R. Carnell Iron Founders and Machinists and Manufacturers of Brick Machinery
Trade catalogue issued in 1876 by F.L. & D.R. Carnell, iron founders and machinists, to sell brick-making machinery to brickyard owners and builders. The plate is a signed wood engraving of a press shown in three-quarter view, built up from fine hatching and stipple that models cast-iron frames, bolt heads, flywheels and wood-grained side panels against blank paper.
