Illustrated catalogue of antique Chinese bronzes, porcelains, pottery, tomb jades and rare old Chinese paintings belonging to the well-known connoisseur Dr. John C. Ferguson
An American Art Galleries auction catalogue from New York, 1916, listing the Chinese bronzes, porcelains, pottery, tomb jades and paintings collected by the missionary-scholar John C. Ferguson for New York buyers and dealers. Halftone photographs isolate single vessels against plain grounds: ritual bronze tripods, handled bowls and ribbed censers on carved wood stands, useful for silhouettes, taotie and key-fret motifs, and grey-toned object plates.
