Le Parfait Escamoteur
A cheap French conjuring manual of 1863, printed in Paris for amateur sleight-of-hand performers, covering cup-and-ball tricks, muscades, wands and the magician's pouch. The plates are numbered woodcut grids of disembodied cuffed hands palming balls, tipping goblets and gripping wands, alongside sectioned diagrams of trick vases, boxes and cloaked figures, useful as small stark props and gesture cutouts.
