Le Tour Du Monde En Quatre Vingts Jours

Jules Verne · 1873 · Wikisource · 3 pictures

Jules Verne's 1873 adventure novel Le Tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours, reset from the Paris Hetzel edition with the wood-engraved illustrations of Alphonse de Neuville and Léon Benett, for French general readers. Hatched vignettes and full-page plates show Victorian travellers in frock coats and top hats, card games, rigging and storm-tossed masts, and gas-lit interiors, usable as period figure studies and chapter ornaments.
