Lichtbilder-Serien für patriotische Veranstaltungen in Kriegervereinen
A 1910 Düsseldorf trade catalogue from the optical firm Ed. Liesegang, listing magic-lantern slide series for patriotic evenings held by German veterans' associations. The halftone plates reproduce painted and photographic slides: Wilhelm II in braided uniform and on a warship deck, a hussar officer reining in his horse, night scenes of officers against burning skylines — useful for grainy monochrome military portraiture, silhouetted crowd groupings and heavy tonal backdrops.
