[Weaving design book]

1890 · 38 pictures

A handwritten French weaving workshop notebook of about 1890, made by a textile technician as a working record of cloth constructions, now held by the Clark Art Institute Library. Pages pair cursive notes in brown ink with ruled thread diagrams in red, blue, green and black, plus small pasted fabric swatches; useful for grid and line-density textures, annotated technical layouts, and handwriting overlays.
