A lace and needlework pattern book by Federico de Vinciolo, printed in Strasbourg by Bernhart Jobin in 1592 for women working reticella and cutwork. The 55 woodcuts reverse white thread against solid black grounds: squared grids, scalloped border ends, radiating stars, pomegranates and vines, usable as blackwork motifs, repeating borders, corner units and dense allover fills.
