A pattern book of embroidery and lace designs issued by the Nuremberg printseller and publisher Paul Fürst around 1660, made for needleworkers to copy stitch by stitch. The plates are counted grid charts in black and white, with strapwork panels, rosettes, pomegranates, birds and repeating borders that transfer directly to pixel patterns, tiling and monochrome ornament.
