The whole art of dying : in two parts, the first being an experimental discovery of all the most useful secrets in dying silk, wool, linnen ... written originally in the German language : the second part is a general instruction for the dying of wools and woollen manufactures of all colours ...
A 1705 London trade manual on dyeing silk, wool, and linen, the first part translated from German and the second covering wools and woollen manufactures, printed by William Pearson for a consortium of booksellers and aimed at working dyers and clothiers. The only picture indexed is a plain letterpress initial capital T, inked unevenly on flecked laid paper, useful as a specimen of early eighteenth-century roman display type and of print texture for period-accurate lettering.
