A children's chapbook of rhymes about farm life, published by Kiggins & Kellogg in New York in 1856, with wood engravings cut by William Howland and William Barritt for young readers. The small relief blocks show single figures and animals — a rooster, a pig under a tree, a boy on a donkey, a mower sharpening his scythe — against ruled skies and hatched ground, usable as compact vignettes or spot marks.
