A two-volume memorial biography edited by Caroline Ticknor and published by Houghton Mifflin in 1919, collecting service records of New England airmen of the First World War for their families and veterans' organizations. The plates are halftone studio portraits, head-and-shoulders or half-length against plain gradient backdrops, useful for uniform detail: Sam Browne belts, pilot wings, collar insignia, overseas caps.
