1930 · 2 pictures

Science Wonder Stories for May 1930, a monthly American science fiction pulp edited by Hugo Gernsback in New York and sold on newsstands for 25 cents. The cover, in the flat poster colors of pulp painting, shows a lab-coated man recoiling from a body bound in wire mesh on a table against a red field, with hand-lettered display type and a banner reading "Mystery-Adventure-Romance" that designers can lift for period masthead and layout reference.
