A trade catalogue issued in 1882 by the United States Electric Lighting Company for its Maxim Electric Light and Power Co. branch in Philadelphia, addressed to builders, plant owners and municipal buyers considering early electric installation. The engravings show apparatus in plain elevation on blank ground: a tank battery with tapered brass standards, valves and a radiating burst of spark lines usable as a starburst motif.
