Traité Élémentaire De Magie Pratique
A handbook of practical magic by the French occultist Papus (Gérard Encausse), published in Paris in 1893 as instruction for students of ceremonial and ritual work. The plates pair a near-solid black wood engraving of a ritual chamber, where altar, curtain and floor circle emerge as white gaps, and a compass-drawn planetary talisman built from a numbered magic square ringed with angel names and planetary sigils.
