Venetian iron work.
A trade catalogue and instructional pamphlet on Venetian ironwork issued by A. J. Weed & Company in 1893 for smiths, builders, and architects specifying ornamental metal. Halftones and line drawings show scrolled brackets, candle stands, fanlight grilles, and twisted bar joints, giving designers ready silhouettes of wrought-iron spirals, scroll-and-leaf terminals, and symmetrical grille patterns.
