Wall papers with special cretonnes to match
A 1912 trade catalogue issued by Gibbs Bros. to show wallpapers paired with matching cretonne fabrics, aimed at decorators, paperhangers and householders furnishing parlors, dens and libraries. Color plates set each pattern in a complete room — draped windows, mantels, bookcases, plain grasscloth fields under deep floral friezes — with detail swatches of the border and cretonne printed alongside, giving usable repeats, period palettes and full interior scenes.
