Weird Tales v11 n06 [1928-06]

1928 · 7 pictures

An issue of the American pulp magazine Weird Tales from June 1928, carrying stories by H. P. Lovecraft, Edmond Hamilton, Seabury Quinn and Fiswoode Tarleton for a mass newsstand readership. The interior art consists of story-opening headpieces in which hand-lettered titles and bylines sit inside crayon and pen drawings of insect-men, moonlit hollows and bedside confrontations, each captioned with a line of quoted dialogue; useful for hand-lettering models, coarse lithographic crayon texture and integrated title-and-image layouts.
