Weird Tales, Vol. 7, No. 5 (May 1926)
The May 1926 issue of Weird Tales, the Chicago pulp magazine of horror and fantasy fiction edited by Farnsworth Wright, sold monthly on American newsstands. Its story headings pair hand-lettered titles with brush-and-ink scenes—sickbeds, a shipboard tentacle attack, a shaft of light over drowning men—each with a small boxed caption quoting the text, useful for coarse-grained black-and-white mark-making and display lettering.
