A picture book of comic animal drawings by the American illustrator J. G. Francis, published by the Century Co. in New York in 1892 for children. Line drawings in plain pen outline show cats standing upright in jackets, trousers and frilled skirts, carrying trays, marching in rows and floating with balloons, set in bare rooms sketched with a few ruled lines; the flat black-on-cream figures cut out cleanly as spot art or repeated silhouettes.
