An abridgment of Smith's illustrated astronomy : designed for the use of junior classes in the public or common schools
A school astronomy primer by Asa Smith, abridged for junior classes in common schools and issued in Toronto by W. Warwick in 1876. Plates are white-line engravings printed on solid black grounds: star-strewn celestial globes ruled with meridians, orbital diagrams of moon's nodes and eclipses, lettered labels curved along the figures — ready-made negative-space diagrams and display lettering.
