An account of the astronomical discoveries of Kepler : including an historical review of the systems which had successively prevailed before his time
Robert Small's 1804 history of Kepler's astronomy, printed in London for J. Mawman, written for readers following the succession of planetary systems up to the elliptical orbits. The plates are engraved geometrical diagrams—nested circles, ellipses, chords and tangents with lettered points, some keys inked in orange—grouped several figures to a page on foxed cream paper, useful as line-based orbital motifs, compass constructions and lettered-point patterns.
