Sir William Hamilton's report on the Pompeii excavations, printed in London in 1777 by W. Bowyer and J. Nichols for the Society of Antiquaries, with plates engraved by James Basire. The scanned pages include hand-marbled endpapers in comb and nonpareil patterns of orange, blue-grey, red and brown on cream, usable as tiling backgrounds, cover papers, or texture fills.
