An account of the exercises at the dedication and presentation to the city of Boston of the O'Reilly Monument, June 20, 1896
A municipal commemorative volume printed by order of the Boston City Council in 1897, recording the dedication speeches for the John Boyle O'Reilly monument given to the city in June 1896. The plates are steel-engraved and photogravure bust portraits of committee men and officials in dark coats, bow ties and heavy moustaches, with soft vignetted backgrounds useful for period faces and stipple shading.
