An account of some of the statues, bas-reliefs, drawings and pictures in Italy, &c with remarks
A 1722 London guide to Italian statues, bas-reliefs, drawings and paintings, written by the painter Jonathan Richardson and his son for British collectors and travellers on the Grand Tour. The plates here are printer's ornaments: woodcut headpieces and tailpieces with scrolling acanthus, urns, seated figures and cartouches, plus a foliate initial A, useful as borders, dividers and decorative capitals.
