Ridolfino Venuti's topographical guide to the antiquities of Rome, printed in Rome in 1763 by Bernabò and Lazzarini with etched plates after Jean Barbault and Jérôme Charles Bellicard, addressed to antiquarians and visitors on the Grand Tour. The 66 etchings are small landscape-format views of ruins in open country — brick vaults, arcades, temple fronts and overgrown masonry with figures for scale — offering fine-line hatched textures, engraved Italian captions and plate borders usable as vignettes or backgrounds.
