Aedes Barberinae ad Quirinalem
Girolamo Teti's Latin account of the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, printed by Mascardi in 1642 and engraved by Cornelis Bloemaert and others after Andrea Camassei and Guido Ubaldo Abbatini, made to record the new palace for Urban VIII's court. Folding plates reproduce Pietro da Cortona's ceiling allegories in dense figure groups, alongside headpieces of winged putti holding banderoles, laurel swags, strapwork cartouches, and the Barberini bees and portcullis, usable as frames, crests, and border ornament.
