Horace Walpole's catalogue of his father Sir Robert Walpole's picture collection at Houghton Hall, printed in London in 1752 for collectors, antiquaries and connoisseurs. Engraved plates give elevations of the house with its flanking colonnaded wings, ground and principal-floor plans labelled room by room, and woodcut headpieces and tailpieces of eagles, urns and scrollwork.
