The Aeroplane
The Aeroplane was a London aviation trade weekly issued by Temple Press from 1911, read by manufacturers, pilots and military buyers. Coarse-screen halftones show biplanes and monoplanes on the ground and banking over cloud and coastline, set beside ruled advertisement frames, hand-lettered maker names and small silhouette planes useful as spot motifs and stippled aerial backgrounds.
