The Aeroplane; the international air transport journal
A weekly British aviation trade journal published in London from 1911, written for aircraft manufacturers, engineers and the aeronautical industry. Pages mix supplier advertisements — engraved bolts and steel fittings set in ruled boxes with condensed display lettering — with heavy slab-serif headline type, giving designers early-aviation ad layouts, component engravings and period trade typography.
