Ager puteolanus, siue, Prospectus eiusdem insigniores
A 1620 Rome suite of engraved views of the Phlegraean Fields around Pozzuoli, cut by Francesco Villamena for antiquarians and travellers to Roman sites near Naples. Each plate is a bird's-eye landscape with Latin captions naming ruins, baths, craters and churches, offering hatched hillsides, tiny figures, arcaded villas and smoking volcanic vents for maps, borders and scenic fills.
