Aircraft

1910 · New York, Lawson Publishing Company · 150 pictures

Aircraft was a monthly aviation magazine published in New York by the Lawson Publishing Company from 1910, written for early aeroplane builders, engineers and flying enthusiasts. The plates mix draughtsman's three-view line drawings of biplanes and monoplanes, with dimension lines, rib and strut detail and propeller circles, against coarse halftone photographs of machines on grass fields, offering ready-made technical linework and period aviation stock.
