Abu Mashar, d. 886, Kindi, d. ca. 873, Joannes, Hispalensis, 12th cent · 1515 · Impressum Venetijs : Mandato & expensis Melchiorem Sessa per Jacobum Pentium de Leucho · 174 pictures

A Latin edition of Abū Maʿshar's ninth-century treatise on great conjunctions, translated by John of Seville and printed at Venice in 1515 by Jacobus Pentius de Leucho for Melchior Sessa, aimed at astrologers and university readers. The woodcuts are small framed panels of enthroned planetary rulers with their attributes and glyphs, flanked by roundels holding zodiac animals and human figures; useful for planet emblems, sign symbols, and dense parallel-line hatching.
