Album de broderies au point de croix
A cross-stitch pattern album compiled by Thérèse de Dillmont and issued around 1885 by the thread manufacturer Dollfus-Mieg & Cie in Mulhouse, Alsace, for needleworkers copying charted designs onto canvas. The plates are gridded charts printed in dark ink on tinted grounds, showing repeating florals, geometric borders, medallions and alphabets built entirely from stitch units, usable as pixel grids, tiling repeats and monogram sources.
