Album de guipure d'Irlande
A pattern album of Irish crochet lace issued around 1900 in Paris by the Manufacture parisienne des cotons with G. Hardouin, made for needleworkers copying motifs stitch by stitch. Photographs show single motifs — roses, shamrocks, leaves, openwork rounds — in pale thread on black grounds, giving designers high-contrast silhouettes of radial and floral lace forms.
