Album mittelalterlicher Kunst
An album of medieval art and architecture compiled by the German architect Georg Gottfried Kallenbach, published in Munich by E. Roller in 1846 for architects, builders and craftsmen studying Gothic and Romanesque precedent. The plates are fine outline engravings of measured details: running foliate friezes in strip format, crocketed gable arcades, carved column shafts with acanthus and rosettes, and traceried arch profiles, all drawn as clean line usable for borders, repeats and ornamental panels.
