A Latin antiquarian commentary by the Neapolitan canon Alessio Simmaco Mazzocchi on the fragmentary inscription of the Campanian amphitheatre at Capua, printed in Naples in 1727 by Felice Musca for scholars of Roman epigraphy. Engravings by Francesco de Grado give ruined arcades in landscape, cutaway sections of tiered seating, orientation diagrams, and full-page slabs of Roman capitals.
