Algole colours
A dyestuff sample book issued by the Bayer Company's New York branch in 1914 to show its Algole vat colours to textile mills, dyers, and printers. The plates are mounted cloth swatches, mostly woven and printed diagonal stripes in indigo, violet, rust, and teal on undyed cream ground, with visible weave texture; useful as ready-made stripe repeats, colourway pairings, and fabric-grain backgrounds.
