The Alhambra, being a brief record of the Arabian conquest of the Peninsula
An English-language survey of the Alhambra and the Moorish conquest of Spain, written by Albert Frederick Calvert and published by John Lane in London and New York in 1907 for travellers and students of Arabic ornament. The 318 plates are photographs and measured drawings of Nasrid stucco, tilework and arcades, giving designers dense arabesque panels, Kufic inscription bands, geometric zellij grids and muqarnas vaults.
