Alice and I at Larchmont
A privately printed account of sailing off Larchmont, New York, written by Gherardi Davis and issued by the Gilliss Press in 1915 for circulation among friends rather than sale. The plates are amateur halftone photographs of open water: channel buoys and spar markers standing alone against flat horizons, low wooded shorelines, and rigging lines cutting across pale sky, useful for grainy monochrome seascapes and isolated silhouetted objects.
