Alticchiero
A privately printed account of Alticchiero, Angelo Querini's villa garden near Padua, written by Countess Justine Wynne Rosenberg-Orsini with text by Bartolommeo Benincasa and plates engraved by Giovanni De Pian in 1787, made for antiquarian and garden-minded readers. The engravings catalogue the garden's sculpture in thin-line elevation: nude and toga-draped figures, bearded herm heads on fluted stands, inscribed plinths and a folding column plate, each isolated on blank ground with a measured scale bar.
