Altitude tables ... designed for the determination of the position line at all hour angles without logarithmic computation
A navigation manual of altitude tables by Frederick Ball, published in London by Potter in 1907 for ships' officers working position lines without logarithms. The figures are spare line diagrams: circles with lettered points, intersecting sight lines, and a chart-grid plotting sheet with graduated latitude scales and hand-lettered labels, useful as technical linework, measured rules, and diagram lettering.
